We offer outpatient services for people with mild to moderate symptoms who are able to attend clinics.
What we do
- Support people adjust to the illness.
- Provide specialist programmes to boost energy and activity.
- Provide information about self-management techniques.
- Lead the development of local services and support family doctors (GPs) and other health professionals.
- Raise awareness of the illness among GPs and hospital staff (currently only around one third of GPs refer into the service).
How to access the service
- By GP or consultant, but usually after the patient has been under the care of their GP for four to six months.
- Blood tests must be completed before referral to rule out other conditions with similar symptoms.
- Currently this service is only available for adults and excludes housebound patients.
- The service is provided across Lancashire and south Cumbria..
